How We Curate: Books & Wine, the Book Society Way

At Book Society, we like to “think outside the box” when it comes to our reading (and sipping) recommendations. Each month, we choose a unifying theme—something we’re craving, questioning, or celebrating—then build from there. We select eight standout book titles that speak to that theme in different ways, and thoughtfully pair each with wines that connect to the story or reading experience.

From Our Shelves to Your Box

What’s inside your box is the same story you’ll find unfolding on our shelves in Berkeley. Your book matches our current monthly theme and the four wines included in your box are currently "on tap" in the shop—so if you find yourself in Berkeley, you can revisit your favorites (or discover new ones) in person.

Behind This Month's book Pick

Go behind the scenes with our founder, Laura, as she shares why this month’s book earned its place in your box.
