About the Author
Vanessa Hua is an award-winning, best-selling author whose novels include Coyoteland (called "tautly woven" by the New Yorker), Forbidden City (praised as "magnificent" by Publishers Weekly and a "new classic" by the San Francisco Chronicle), and the national bestseller A River of Stars, named to the Washington Post and NPR's Best Books of 2018 lists.
