About the event

Book Society welcomes author, speaker and leadership coach Ingrid Hu Dahl along with winemaker Isabella Morano for a conversation on identity and putting yourself out into the world.

Ingrid’s recently-published memoir, Sun Shining on Morning Snow, celebrates the power of authenticity, love and resilience. She takes readers on an intimate journey through the challenges of self-discovery–navigating the weight of social, cultural and familial expectations–from the lens of a mixed-race, queer woman.

Joining Ingrid in conversation is local winemaker, Isabella Moreno, of Isa Wines. She is a certified sommelier who began her studies independently before she was legally old enough to drink or serve wine in the U.S. Inspired by a family trip to Italy, Isabella took a chance at the age of 18 and moved to California where she has built a community around inclusivity in wine.

Your ticket includes:

  • A copy of Ingrid's memoir Sun Shining on Morning Snow…
