About the event
Most of us shop a farmers' market the way we shop a grocery store — quickly, from a list, and slightly intimidated by the things we don't recognize. Cara Mangini would like to fix that.
Join us for a morning at the Fort Mason Center Farmers' Market with the chef, restaurateur, and award-winning cookbook author who built a career teaching people what to do with vegetables. We'll meet at Equator Coffees at the entrance to the market (grab a coffee if you need one) before the public opening and walk the stalls together while they're still quiet — long enough to actually talk to the farmers, ask what came out of the ground this week, and hear Cara's take on what to buy and how to use it.
