For one October evening, Book Society is handing the room over to three Bay Area mystery authors who write very different flavors of crime. Gigi Pandian writes locked-room mysteries the New York Times called "wildly entertaining," plus a cozy fantasy series featuring an actual gargoyle. Carmela Dutra writes food truck cozies steeped in family, farmers' markets, and the pursuit of the perfect chicken wing. M.M.
